The east side's snowbelt calendar applies in full: November freezes, faithful lake snow, a hanging window that runs mid-October into early November, Thanksgiving light-up, and late-winter takedown windows agreed in advance. Engineering follows: clips set clear of roof-shed paths, sealed connections, ground elements anchored against corridor wind that the long open boulevards funnel. Pepper Pike's practicalities: acre lots reward quotes from a property walk because the approach and the evergreens usually claim a third of the design; the boulevard showpiece homes book early alongside the estate villages east of them; and the city's geometry makes neighbors' displays genuinely continuous — corridors here light as compositions, and households that coordinate with the block get the effect the planners would have wanted.
