Curbstead

About

We’re the shortcut to a good installer.

Curbstead is a marketplace, not an installer. We publish what a holiday-lighting project actually costs in your town, what to confirm before you hire, and when crews book up — then let you put the project in front of an independent installer without broadcasting it.

Finding a good installer usually means calling five, waiting on three, and comparing quotes that don’t line up. You tell us about your roofline once. We review the details, and if an installer covering your town and roof type is available, your request goes to them and no one else — never a list of contractors racing to your phone.

Installer availability varies by market, and a request is not a booking. We would rather tell you that up front than hand you a call list.

Curbstead in plain terms

What Curbstead is
Curbstead is a holiday and exterior lighting marketplace where homeowners scope a project and submit it to independent installers.
What Curbstead is not
Curbstead does not install lights, supply materials, or set prices — any installer you hear from quotes and contracts with you directly. We do not perform, supervise or warrant installation work.
Where it works
12 metro markets covering 108 towns across 8 states (IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, OH, WI). Coverage depends on installer availability in each town.
What happens after you ask
You describe your home and what you want lit, and we review the details. If an installer covering your town and roof type is available, they quote your specific home and contract with you directly — Curbstead is not party to that agreement.
